I have owned the DCS 30" grill for 5 years now and have never had one issue with it. Eceptional quality and service under all conditions. I have never heard of the burner knobs melting and I have used it on high(Both burners) many times. I wonder if the gas jets feeding the burners are properly seeded in the burners themselves causing the heat to be forward of the grill(Just a thought) I am finaly replacing my ceramics above the burners after approx 800 uses. This is one bullet proof grill. I have visited many high rise condos in our area with roof top grillls and have seen the DCS used for many of these exposed conditions. The upfront money is worth it, NOT having to replace burners and knowing your grill is of much higher quality than your buddies. Lift the top (HEAVY) it will always tell you the quality is there.
